I haven’t had any problem using it. And I find it fun to dig into it’s inner workings. I actually found it easier to use than thesis.
That is what a framework is “just a starting point” to grow your site from. Most themes need a lot of work to rejig.
And then you have only learned that theme.
I have used Thesis and find it quite useful as well.
That is why I like Thesis or Genesis. Gives you a lot of flexibility to create many different looks without too much work.

They just issued a new child theme called “Prose” that eases some of the typography issues.

Personally, Genesis is too hard to use, and the “tutorials” all lack anything of much use for using Genesis. I stand by what I said, Genesis is just not on par with some of the other WordPress Theme Frameworks.

You haven’t looked deep enough into how to use genesis cause it rocks. Here is an indepth review by a credible Thesis user.

Gary, I’m looking forward to reading your reviews!

I have used three WP frameworks extensively so far – Thesis, Hybrid, and Canvas (from WooThemes). Hybrid, in my opinion, is the only true framework of those three. I find Thesis overrated, but it’s been over a year since I developed on it, so maybe it’s gotten better. I’m just starting with Canvas and I have high hopes for it – I think it does what Thesis is trying to do, but does it a lot better and with more style.

Well you definitely have a head start on me with the computer experience. LOL Yeah, it was a trip down memory lane for myself as I realized that, “Hey, I know this stuff and people will actually pay me for it!” Just wasn’t giving myself enough credit is what it was. But, that’s over now! MUHAHAhahahahah!!! LOL

There’s a WordCamp in Louisville, Kentucky this coming December. I plan to be there!
